Peti sastanak projekta CURIOST u Pečuhu (HU)

Metalska jezgra sudjelovala je od 11. do 13. svibnja 2026. na petom sastanku projektnih partnera (Steering Committee Meeting #4) projekta CURIOST, održanom u Gospodarskoj komori Pečuha i Baranje (PBKIK) u Pečuhu, Mađarska. Metalsku jezgru predstavljali su ravnatelj Mario Šercer te zaposlenice Khrystyna Moskalova i Iva Kalšan, koji su pratili cjelokupni radni program sastanka. Sastanak je započeo transnacionalnim studijskim posjetom poduzeću AquaCut u Bólyju, nakon čega je uslijedio dvodnevni program radnih sastanaka i umrežavanja projektnog konzorcija.

Partneri su predstavili postignuća u četvrtom razdoblju projekta, uključujući dovršetak pilot aktivnosti za razvoj održivih proizvoda, konsolidaciju poslovnih modela te izradu metodološkog priručnika (Methodology Kit) za razvoj ekonomično uspješnih i kružnih proizvoda u četiri ciljana sektora. Raspravljalo se i o ključnim aspektima upravljanja projektom – kvaliteti provedbe, financijskim pitanjima, partnerskim izvješćima i ostvarenju planiranih rezultata – te o Akcijskom planu CURIOST-a (CURIOST Action Plan) i aktivnostima koje povezuju poduzetnike i donositelje politika kroz radionice „policy meets business“.

Poseban naglasak stavljen je na aktivnosti usmjerene na širu primjenu razvijenih rješenja u malim i srednjim poduzećima, gdje Metalska jezgra Čakovec kroz aktivnost A2.5 ima važnu ulogu u poticanju primjene inovativnog rješenja za održivi razvoj proizvoda i prikupljanju priča o uspjehu (Uptake Stories) za završnu konferenciju. Dogovoreni su sljedeći koraci vezani uz izradu whitepaper-a, transnacionalnu kampanju o prilikama kružnog gospodarstva te pripremu završne konferencije i šestog sastanka projektnih partnera krajem 2026. godine.

Ovaj je sastanak dodatno učvrstio suradnju partnera i potvrdio važnost razvoja održivih, kružnih i tržišno primjenjivih rješenja u metalskoj i povezanim industrijama srednje Europe. Nastavljamo s radom na širenju razvijenih rješenja prema poduzećima i donositeljima politika te vas pozivamo da pratite daljnji napredak projekta CURIOST i nadolazeće aktivnosti u kojima sudjeluje Metalska jezgra Čakovec.

Fifth CURIOST project meeting in Pécs (HU)

Metal Centre Čakovec participated from 11th to 13th of May 2026 in the fifth project partners’ meeting (Steering Committee Meeting #4) of the CURIOST project, held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya (PBKIK) in Pécs, Hungary. Metal Centre Čakovec was represented by director Mario Šercer and staff members Khrystyna Moskalova and Iva Kalšan, who followed the full working programme of the meeting. The event started with a transnational study visit to the company AquaCut in Bóly, followed by a two-day programme of working sessions and networking within the project consortium.

The partners presented the achievements of the fourth project period, including the completion of pilot activities for sustainable product development, the consolidation of business models and the creation of a Methodology Kit to support the development of economically successful and circular products in four target sectors. They also discussed key aspects of project management – implementation quality, financial issues, partner reporting and achievement of planned results – as well as the CURIOST Action Plan and activities that connect companies and policy makers through ‘policy meets business’ workshops.

Special emphasis was placed on activities aimed at broad uptake of the developed solutions among small and medium-sized enterprises, where Metal Centre Čakovec, through Activity 2.5, plays an important role in promoting the application of the innovative sustainable product development solution and collecting Uptake Stories for the final conference. The partners agreed on the next steps related to the preparation of a white paper, a transnational campaign on circular economy opportunities, and the preparation of the final conference and sixth project partners’ meeting at the end of 2026.

This meeting further strengthened partner cooperation and confirmed the importance of developing sustainable, circular and market-ready solutions in the metal and related industries across Central Europe. Metal Centre Čakovec will continue working on transferring the developed solutions to companies and policy makers, and we invite you to follow the further progress of the CURIOST project and the upcoming activities in which Metal Centre Čakovec will take part.
